Prickly friend Mini Slimline

 Hi guys! This is Julie and today I am sharing a mini slimline card with the Prickly friend stamp set. The size of the mini slimline that I like to make is 6 1/4 by 3 1/4. 

I started by stamping all of my images on coloring them using my copic markers. I wanted to use different shades of greens just to add some variation on the card. The eyes and the rosy cheeks makes the cacti come alive and I love it! 

For the background, I used a combination of salvaged patina distress spray stain and cracked pistachio distress oxide spray. I love the randomness of the sprays and the splatters that I can have. It takes only a few seconds to do, and it makes a beautiful background. 

Since I make my mini slimline a little bit bigger than the dies that are 6 x 3, it gives me a nice border on my card, and I like that a lot. I foam mounted the window die on my background and added foam on some of the cacti. I love to have a lot of dimension on my cards. 

Then, I cut a grey cardstock to add on the front of my white card base and added all of the elements on my card. For the finishing touches, I added some embellishment, a sentiment strip (it says happy birthday) and white gel pen accents.
