It's Pumpkin Spice Season!

Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring several items from the recent release. I didn’t really have a plan starting out. I just wanted something fall themed and what is more fall themed than pumpkin spice!

You know the drill, we are starting on the background first. I wanted to use a fun background stamp and go for a monochromatic look. I stamped the image using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut that panel to about 3 inches x 5 ½ inches. Then I cut a piece of dark brown cardstock to a little larger than my focal panel. I used a strong adhesive to glue these two down directly to the center of my card base.

Using the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink, stamp images from Spooky Cupcakes, Coffee Besties, and Hey Pumpkin onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies. I like to use a white gel pen to create some highlights. I used an embossing pen and textured embossing powder to the cupcake to give it some interest. I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment on another piece of the same brown paper I used for the base.

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. To complete the front panel of the card, lay out images to determine perfect placement. I popped the images and the sentiment up using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
