Shaker card for a coffee lover

Hi guys, Julie here with you today and I am sharing one of my favorite card I made this month using the Coffee Besties stamp set. I absolutely adore this stamp set since I am a BIG coffee lover. The cute embellishments were my inspiration for the colors that I used for this card.

I started this card by die cutting the panel for the windows with Bristol cardstock, because ink blending on this type a paper makes it really easy. I used my distress inks in carved pumpkin, twisted citron and walnut stain. I wanted to made panels of colors that matched with the embellishment: roasted coffee, camp fire and captivating cactus. To add some depth to my card, I splattered some water on my panel, the distress inks colors and some picket fence spray stain.

For the images, I stamped them with versafine onyx black ink because I wanted to used my zig color brush markers and some water. Since I wanted to use the dog and the cat, but it would be too busy with all of the cups, I had this idea to put them as if they were sneaking out of the windows. So I stamped only the half of these images, and fussy cut the cat and the dog out of the cups. I chose my colors to make them coordinate with my ink blended backgrounds and embellishments.

For the shaker part, I added some acetate and doubled the foam tape to add my embellishments. I put my panel on a 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 card base and after that I glued all of my images on my card. To add more bling on card, I used stickles on all of the whipped cream and glossy accents on the glasses of the cat. After that, I could not resist to use my trusty gelly roll pen to add lines. For the sentiments, I used one of my french sentiments that says: a little sweetness to warm you heart, and I thought that it would fit so well with the all the coffee mugs on my card.

I hope you like my project today, thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day!
