Simple Monster Birthday Card

So lets face it, sometimes we just dont have much time to create as we'd like. So quick cards are great.
And I need to add some fun, youthful cards to my stash so I used Pawsome Stamps "Monster Party" Stamp/die set for this card.
I started off with a watercolor stencil and I used Distress inks because I wanted that bright vibrancy that they give. I used Wilted Violet, Black Soot & Twisted Citron onto 110lb Neenah cardstock. Once that was blended I set that aside to dry.
I then stamped my monster onto the same cardstock using Memento tuxedo black. I colored him in with copic markers with the same color palette. I die cut him out along with 3 more to stack under him for dimension. I also did the same for the balloons.
I stamped "Happy Birthday " with Versafine Black & embossed with clear on top for shine.
I added googlie eyes for some fun & I added glossy accents to his arms, horns, tongue & balloons.  I die cut it with a stitched rectangle die & used a black mat. Mounted it onto 110lb Neenah cardstock and added a few iridescent gems.
This was relatively quick to put together and Im a slow crafter, lol.
Thanks for the visit & have a great day!

  1. I love this idea for being able to stretch the use of sets of stamps I would probably only think to use at Halloween! A great any occasion card for young boys. As "gross" as girls are to them, this would easily work for Valentine's Day as well!
