Candy Stripes
Hi, there! Kate here with a cute idea for using the little images
that come with a stamp set.
I like to get my money's worth from every
stamp set I buy. I've shown you in some of my past posts how to use the
sentiments as backgrounds and even how to use the back of your stamps
to color your images. Come along as I show you how to make a border of
small stamped images.
Supplies:
Spooky Cupcakes Stamp set
Monster Party Stamp set
I
had lots of rainbow colored strips of cardstock leftover in my scrap
bin. I glued them along the edge of an A2 card front. No need for
them to be super even since I covered the uneven edge with a strip of
white card stock. (Not interested in glueing multiple scraps? Just use
some patterned paper!)
I used the candy
images from the 2 stamp sets and *MIGHT* have gone a bit crazy stamping,
coloring and fussy cutting lots of them :) Then I arranged the
candies along the white strip of card stock, popping some up with foam
tape. I tucked several sequins among the candies to add some
sparkle. Stamp a sentiment and this card is done.
This
is a great layout to keep in your cardmaking arsenal. Try it with
pumpkins for a Halloween card, leaves for Thanksgiving, you name it!
