Have a Holly Jolly Christmas...It's the best time of the year!

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring several items from this recent release

I always like to start with my background first and I have been really into layering lately. I went layer crazy on this card. I used a stitched rectangle die for the bottom panel. I inked on those stripes using the Candy Stripes Background Stencil and a blender brush. I cut two additional layer panels out of red and white cardstock. For the teal panel, I used a smaller stitched rectangle die. I really like to add stitching wherever I can on cards. It just gives it a little something extra. I used images from Beary Christmas to create “patterned paper” using an ink in a similar color as my paper. I wanted contrast but I didn’t want to draw away from my main images. I used some packaging from one of my recent stamp purchases to create the shaker. I put Scor Tape on the back of the panel, gluing down three sides, and leaving the top open. I filled the shaker with the Peppermint Sequin Mix from this release and closed the top. I set all of this to the side to work on my card base.

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I stamped the inside of the card using an image from Jolly Cupcakes and sentiments from the Just Sentiments: Christmas Stamp Set.

I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies. I finished off my images using a white gel pen to add some accents.

I used a strong liquid adhesive to glue all of my panels to the card base. I used foam tape to pop up the top panel. The foam tape also helps to keep the shaker part completely closed. To complete the front panel of the card, lay out images to determine perfect placement and I attached the reindeer cupcakes with a liquid adhesive and the Santa one with foam tape.  I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Jolly Cupcakes Stamp Set. I cut it using a sentiment strip die and popped it up using some foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
