It's a Special Delivery!!

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring a few items from this recent release

I always like to start with my background first and I have been really into layering lately. I’ve also been on a crazy streak of creating A LOT of cards at once. I actually made eight cards with the Special Delivery set. I believe I used all the stamps in the set. I think the secret to making a lot of cards at once is make one completely, use it as a template, and then just start creating the rest of your cards using the assembly line process.

I used a stitched rectangle die on some green cardstock for the bottom panel. Making sure to leave a nice white border around the edge. I used a smaller stitched rectangle die to cut out my red panels. Before using the die, I stamped a background die stamp from my stash in a similar color as the cardstock. I wanted to create a subtle tone on tone background.

I used the same green cardstock to stamp several sentiments at once. I prepped the surface with a powder tool first as I was going to be doing some heat embossing. After stamping several with clear embossing ink, I coated with white embossing powder, and heated them with my heat tool. I used a sentiment label die to cut all my sentiments, however, these could easily be cut with a paper trimmer and scissors.

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I stamped the inside of the card using images and a sentiment from the Special Delivery set.

I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies.

I used a strong liquid adhesive to glue all of my panels to the card base. I used foam tape to pop up image and the sentiment strip.

I finished off my images using a white gel pen to add some accents. I did lots of finishing touches on these stamps from the set. I used a blaze glaze pen for eyes and noses, an aqua shimmer pen on several images to give them some sparkle, glossy accents on the candy cane and ornaments, and finished off the berries of the holly leaves with Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard. Lastly, I used red sequins from the Peppermint Sequin Mix from this release.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
