Merry Christmas !

Hi guys, Julie here today with another card project! Today I am using the Beary Christmas and the snow flurries stencil. I wanted to make a simple card with the traditional Christmas colours. I am really inspired by this color palette this Christmas and I am having so much fun creating.

I started my project by stamping the bear, the lights, and the holly with no-line coloring ink from Ink on 3. The holly is from the special delivery stamp set. Since I am trying to get better with my no-line coloring, I thought that this stamp would be perfect to practice, since it is bigger and easier to colour. I used my copics and added some shadows with my polychromos colouring pencils. I absolutely love the result!

After that, I die cut a panel with a layering die and I die cut a circle with a layering die set. For the bigger panel, I dry embossed the snow flurries stencil on it to add some texture. It doesn't show a lot on the pictures, but it really adds a lot to the card. Then, I used mermaid lagoon distress ink to add a bit of depth to my blue cardstock. For the snowflakes, I used a small blending brush and used white pigment ink to go over them. I wanted to make a frosted kind of look. For the final touch, I had to add white splatters with picket fence distress spray stain and some shimmer with a sheer shimmer spray.

Finally, I glued all my elements on a A2 card base (4 1/4 by 5 1/2). I added white lines with my gelly roll pen and some glossy accents on the lights and the nose of the bear. For the sentiment, I stamped and white embossed it on a black cardstock. I fussy cut it so it would stand out more than if it was like a banner. The sentiment is also from the special delivery stamp set (this is one of my favorites). For some embellishments, I added white pearls.

Overall, I had a lot of fun making this project. It was a quick card, but it really is a beautiful one!

I really hope you liked my project today, thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day!
