I'm A Happy Camper

Welcome everyone! This is my first DT post and I am so excited to be in this fantastic group. I hope you are enjoying all the "Pawsome" inspiration the team has given you so far.

Today, I have a fun camping card using the Happy Camper stamp set.

Using the MISTI, I stamped my camper, tree and flower pot in an alcohol marker friendly ink. I kept all images in my MISTI and I colored my stamped images with Copic and Altenew alcohol ink markers. I then put the images back into my MISTI and stamped them using Altenew Obsidian pigment ink. This makes the lines much more bold and really makes the coloring pop! When the ink was dry, I fussy cut all of the images.

I first selected the beautiful teals. I just think it is a gorgeous color. I then looked at a color wheel to choose an opposite color. By keeping all the elements within the same colors, they will all look cohesive on the card.

I took a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide through a circle mask/stencil. I used a stencil but you can easily cut a circle out of a panel to make your own. I then taped off my grassy areas and ink blended Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. The ink blended panel was trimmed to 4x5 1/4 inches and the sentiment was stamped in Altenew Obsidian ink. I then matted the panel with black cardstock.

The tree and flower pot were adhered directly to the panel using liquid adhesive and the camper was popped up with foam tape for dimension. I added a few grass sprigs with an alcohol ink marker and "shiny" details with a white gel pen. For a final touch, a few sequins in Captivating Cactus and Icicle were added. The panel was then added to a top folding A2 white card base.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today!
