Sweet Cupcakes

Hello Friends! It's Carol here today and I'm sharing a delightful card using the Sweet Cupcakes stamp set. I don't know about you, but I love all things sugary and sweet and the cupcakes in this set just look scrumptious!

So, I did a little ink blending for my background using Distress Oxide inks because you know I love colorful backgrounds! I then stamped the cupcake image along with the envelope and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I chose to do soft colors so my images wouldn't compete too much with my background. Then, I heat embossed the cake stand onto some turquoise card stock, die cut it using the coordinating die set along with another one out of vellum. I layered the vellum on top to give a more muted look to the cake stand.

To complete the card I cut a piece of gray card stock using a stitched die from my stash and added that on top of my background. I then took a white gel pen and added little "stitch" lines all the way around. I then adhered the cake stand and popped up my cupcake and envelope and placed them on top. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment to the bottom in black ink and added a few sequins using the beautiful Purple Paradise sequin mix.

I hope you enjoyed today's card, I definitely had fun making it!!  Have a great weekend! ~Carol
