Enjoy the Sweet Life!

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring a set from the new and previous release, Sweet Cupcakes and one stamp from Jolly Cupcakes. I love cards with a ton of detail. I have been really inspired by members of the design team and their masking skills and I have it a try on these sweet cards.

These are mini slimline cards measuring 6.25 in by 3.25 in. I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I cut a piece of purple and white cardstock the size of my card base. Once I stamped the background, I cut the white panel down to 6 in by 3 in.

I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. I used the all of the cupcakes from the Sweet Cupcakesset and one cupcake from the Jolly Cupcakes set. I used full stick post-its as my masks. The edge-to-edge shaker I stamped in more straight lines. The other was a little more whimsical. I finished off my images using a white gel pen to add some accents. For the shaker card, I used the Rainbow Wishes sequin mix

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I stamped the inside of the card using images from a few different sets.

I used embossing ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment on purple cardstock. I used a sentiment strip die, however, this sentiment could easily be cut using a paper trimmer or scissors. I popped up my image and sentiment strip up using from foam tape. I did a lot of embellishments on the “non-shaker card”. I used a ton of Glossy Accents, glitter get, and embellishments to give the appearance of dragees.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
