Flying by to say Happy Birthday
Hello Friends! It's Carol here today and I'm sharing a super cute birthday card using a stamp and stencil from the latest release. I have to say that the moment I saw this set, I knew I had to have it because my daughter's nickname is ladybug. So, this set just made me smile!
For this card, I stamped the ladybugs from the Little Lady stamp set and I used some water based markers and a paint brush to blend the color.
While the ladybugs were drying, I started working on my background. I thought a rainbow sun ray would be perfect, so I pulled out the Rays of Sunshine stencil and grabbed some low tack tape to cover each "bow" as I started my ink blending. I love how bright and vibrant it turned out!
After that, I used a slimeline scalloped die from my stash and adhered it on top of the rainbow rays. Lastly, I added the ladybugs and my sentiment (also from the Little Lady stamp set) and a few sequins from the Dreamy Days mix. This is such a cheerful way to wish someone a Happy Birthday!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you'll swing by the shop to pick up these cute goodies!
~Carol
