Tweet Birthday Wishes

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring a set from the new release, Tweet Birdie. I made a mini slimline card today. It’s such a fun size to work with. This card was pretty easy to make for a scene card.

I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I cut a piece of white cardstock using a paper trimmer. I cut that panel a ¼ inch smaller than my card base which is 6¼ by 3¼ inches. I blended on three different shades of blue ink. I spritzed on some clean water and come flicks of white paint with a fan brush. I sat this to the side to completely dry as to not smear the paint. Since I didn’t do as many background layers as I normally do, it’s time to start on the images.

used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies. I finished off my images using a white gel pen to add some accents and a black glaze pen for the eyes. I laid out my images to get perfect placement and popped them up using foam tape. I cut off the excess of the images with my scissors.

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I stamped the inside of the card using images and a sentiment from Tweet Birdie and a sentiment from MacaronsI used a strong liquid adhesive to glue my panels to the card base. I white heat embossed a sentiment from Tweet Birdie for the front of the card. I finished this card by adding Nuvo Drops in white blizzard to the holes of the bird houses to give this card a little sparkle. I do this as my very last step because I will smear these drops all over the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
