You make me a happy camper

Hello, crafty friends! It is Natalia with you here today.

Sooo, who loves camping? Me, me, me! I am waiting for the nice weather to arrive so that we can go away for a camping weekend.

I had so much fun creating this card, using the Pawsome Happy Camper stamp set and coordinating dies. Let's get into the details!

I started off by ink blending my background. I used Candied apple, fossilized amber and and squeezed lemonade distress oxide inks. Once I was happy with the blending, I added some perfect pearls water to it, using my splatter box. I love how forgiving these inks are when you add water to them!

I used a sun ray die from Time for Tea Designs to die cut from my blended panel. I then repeated the process from white cardstock, 4 times, for dimension.

I prepared my card base (14.5x10.5 cm to match the die size) and glued the die cut panel to it. As you can see, I didn't raise the negatives, and I love the effect of dimension I got by doing that!

Once my background was ready, all left to do was colouring the beautiful images. I am not great at choosing colour combinations, so I checked on Pinterest for orange and yellow colour combinations and went with this! Purples, greens, yellows, reds and oranges. It's such a happy combination, don't you think? I used my Ohuhu alcohol markers and a white gel pen for my images. This time, I did a bit of dot colouring which I hadn't done in a long time! I love the results.

I used double sided foam to adhere the elements to the card panel and then added some Camp Fire and Hello Sunshine sequin mix to finish it off.

Don't forget there's a 25% off sell in the store as Pawsome are celebrating their first birthday!

I hope you like this card, and it inspires you to create!

Sending hugs,

Natalia
