Mugs And Kisses

Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today. I have a bit of fall inspiration for you using the "Coffee Llama" stamp set. I wanted to have a little fun with the smaller images in the set and use some gorgeous fall pattern papers. I hope you enjoy it! Let's get to the card.

I started by stamping the mug onto various fall themed pattern papers using my favorite black ink. These all came from the same pack so the work of making sure they coordinated was done for me. I then fussy cut the mugs right on the black line (and yes I did cut out the small piece from the handle). This actually didn't take that long. If you have any missed edges and want a clean look, you can take a black marker and run it around the image. This can cover any mistakes that might have been made. For the "coffee", I used an embossing pen to fill in the area, covered it with powder, and heat set. It looks like a yummy cup doesn't it?!

For my panel, I used a die to cut a scallop edge in Ivory cardstock. Using a T-ruler, I mapped out where the center was and adhered all of my cups using liquid adhesive. To add a bit more interest to the background, the coffee bean from the set was used with a light beige ink. This gave a nice soft look without distracting from the beautiful cups.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink onto chocolate cardstock and added ivory embossing powder. It was heat set and die cut with a smaller scallop rectangle die. I popped up the sentiment with foam tape for just a bit of dimension. The finished panel was added to a top folding white A2 card base.

I adore these little cups and it was so easy to make them different with the pattern papers. I think this design could be used all year long using different seasonal papers. Definitely a great card for the coffee lovers in your life!
