Have A Tweet Birthday

Hello friends! It has been gloomy, rainy and colder than normal in my area so I really wanted to make a bright and happy card. Nothing says bright and happy to me more than some pretty yellows, oranges and pinks.

I started with an A2 panel of Neenah cardstock and ink blended Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade through the "Falling Leaves Spotlight" stencil. Overlapping the colors produced the gorgeous orange color. I removed the stencil and left the oval mask in place to spatter gold Perfect Pearls that were mixed with water. I set the panel aside to dry while I worked on my other elements.

The birds and birdhouse were stamped with black ink onto my favorite white cardstock for Copic coloring. I colored them in similar colors to the leaves which were: Y11, Y15, YR23, R11, R22, C3 and C5. When my inked panel was dry, I used a T-ruler to draw a line down the center for the string of the  birdhouse. The sentiment was stamped several times in black ink for a bold look.

The house and birds were adhered with foam squares adding a bit of dimension and yellow pearls were added for a final touch. The finished panel was adhered to a side folding white card base.

Thank you for joining me today!
