O Holy Night

 Hi crafty friends, I’m excited to share two cards today using the newly released Newborn King stamp set. I love traditional Christian-themed cards, so this set was perfect for my Christmas cards this year. 

 

To begin my cards, I started with a piece of navy cardstock and purple cardstock. I added some pencil marks on the cardstock of the arch die to ensure that I stamped my images within the opening. 

I stamped the images and the sentiment and then embossed them with gold embossing powder. Next, I inked the panels with Distress Ink in Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot on the navy cardstock and splattered the panel with gold ink. I used Distress Ink in Villainous Potion and Wilted Violet for the purple cardstock and splattered the panel with gold ink. 

 

 It’s tough for me not to add color and leave white space on my cards, but for these cards, I wanted the focus on the inner panel. I used an embossing folder for the top panel to create texture and added foam adhesive before adhering the entire panel to a gold-foiled piece of cardstock.
