A Cozy Get Well
Hi there!
Jean here! I don’t know about you, but it is cold and flu season around here, so I thought I’d share this sweet little “Get Well” card that I’ve been making for my friends and family that are feeling a bit under the weather.
For this card, I used the adorable Coffee Llama stamp set and coordinating dies, the Chunky Sweater stencil, the Just Sentiments: Basics 1 (which is retiring and currently on sale), and the Spring Showers sequin mix.
I love the feeling of warmth the Chunky Sweater stencil adds to my cards and thought it would make a perfect backdrop for a “Get Well” card. So, to start, I stenciled the sweater pattern on a 3.5 x 4.75 inch panel using light blue ink.
Next, I stamped the coffee mugs, marshmallows, whipped cream, and apple images from the Coffee Llama set with Copic-friendly ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and die cut them.
I found a band-aide die in my stash, along with a couple of hearts, so I die cut them and ink-blended them to coordinate with the coffee mugs and apple images.
I assembled all my pieces on a stitched circle die cut and then used it to decide where I wanted to position it on my Chunky Sweater panel. Once I knew where I wanted everything placed, I was able to stamp my sentiment before adhering everything with liquid glue.
And lastly, I used foam adhesive to attach the completed panel to my card front, then added some sequins from the Spring Showers sequin mix for a bit of sparkle.
I hope you like this card – and that you’ve had a healthy start to the year!
