Hey there Love Bug!

Hi crafty friends and happy Sunday! Can you believe that we are at the end of January and almost ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day??!!! Celebrating Valentine’s doesn’t have to be romantic in nature, it can be celebrated with special family members or a friend.

For this card, I created a 5 x 7 Valentine’s Day-inspired card featuring Little Lady stamp and die. First, I stamped, colored and die cut the images then, I began working on the background.

 

Red: R59, R27, R24, R22
Head/Body: N5, N3, N1, N0
Wings: B000B B01
Black dots: N9, N7, N5

I used a piece of smooth cardstock and ink blended Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink with Clouds forDays Background Stencil. To give the panel more interest, I splattered it with white and pink paint then set it aside to dry.

 

While the panel was drying, I created the custom sentiment by die-cutting generic large letters to spell out LOVE BUG, and heat embossed part of the sentiment onto black cardstock. Lastly, I arranged my images around the sentiment using foam adhesive and added white highlights using a gel pen.
