You really are the best!
Hi crafty friends, and happy Friday! I seriously forgot how much I love alcohol ink backgrounds until I sat down to create this card. Besides the stunning results, alcohol ink backgrounds are very effortless to create. For this card, I used the Oopsy Daisy stamp and die.
First, I selected the alcohol
ink colors for my background and then ensured that I was working in a sufficiently
ventilated area.
I added several drops of alcohol
ink directly onto the Yupo paper and a few drops of alcohol blending solution. Using
the air blower, I moved the ink around, adding more alcohol ink and alcohol blending
solution as I went along.
The hardest part of creating
with alcohol inks, at least for me, is knowing when to stop. The beauty of working with alcohol ink is that if you don’t like the results, you can lift the color or move the ink
around with more blending solution.
Once I was happy with my
background, I pressed a piece of gold foil over the sticky areas that had yet to dry completely to transfer the foil onto my background.
To finish this card, I embossed
the large daisy image onto a piece of vellum and added the sentiment with gold
embossing powder. Lastly, I added gold splatters for lots of texture and
interest.
