Mine, Mine, Mine!
Hey everyone, Britney here! I am so excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring the Mine, Mine, Mine stamp set. This card came together so quickly!!! I was inspired by my recent beach trip.
I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I cut some panels with a stitched rectangle and then used an oval die to cut a window. I white heat embossed waves from the Vitamin Sea stamp set on two different colors of cardstock. I inked on some clouds to another background panel. I wanted to give it more interest, even though there weren’t many clouds at the beach during my last trip. I stamped a sentiment from the Macarons stamp set on the front panel before adding layers. I also included a sentiment from the Mine, Mine, Mine stamp set in the same color as the waves.
Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I put sentiment on the inside of the card with images from the Mine, Mine, Mine stamp set.
I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of smooth, white cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies. I laid out my images to get perfect placement. I glued everything together and popped the top panel up with foam tape. I finished off my images using white pen to add some accents and black glaze pen for the eyes. I love adding a lot of final details to a card to give it a little something extra.
