Backwards/Forwards

Kate, here again with another non-coloring technique.  I'm not sure what to call this one...so I'm going to be literal--BACKWARDS/FORWARDS.  You literally use the back AND front of your stamp.

Inks and Acrylic block

 

 

This is such a simple technique!  It works best with images that are symmetrical, like a pumpkin, tree, leaf, hearts, etc.   Simply place your stamp BACKWARDS on your acrylic block and stamp your color.  

 

 

 Now, flip the stamp over (apply correctly to your acrylic block in a FORWARDS position) and stamp the outline.  You can use a variety of color combinations.  In one card, I stamped the leaf outlines in the same color as the backwards color....the other card uses a darker color for the outline stamp.
