Special delivery Slimline Card

Hi guys, Julie here with you today and I am sharing a card using the new Special delivery stamp set. This stamp set is so cute, unique and I absolutely love it. This new release makes me think of vintage classic Christmas and in my head, red, green and beige are the colors to use. I don't often use red as the main focus color, even for my Christmas cards, but I am really inspired by this look at the moment.

For this card, I started by stamping the images with Rich cocoa memento ink, which is a copic friendly ink. I wanted to have a brown color for the stamps, to make it look more vintage. I colored with copics and I fussy cut all of the images.
Colors used:
  • Red: R89 ; R37 ; R14
  • Green: YG03 ; YG17 ; YG67
  • Other colors used: E43 ; E41 ; C1; C0 ; W2 ; W1

After that, I die cut a panel for my slimline card out of white cardstock to add a stitched frame. For the vintage look of the panel, I used antique linen and vintage photo distress ink and ink blended. For the snowflakes, I stamped them with vintage photo distress ink. The snowflakes are from the Beary Christmas stamp set. I backed the panel with a brown cardstock to make my inked blended panel pop out more.

For the sentiments, I used the same brown cardstock and white heat emboss them. I rarely use other color cardstock for my sentiments beside black, but the black on this card would have break my vintage vibe. I foam mounted some of the images and some of the sentiments. I had to add some white line with my gelly roll pen for more details and texture. For a little bit of bling, I added stickles on at least one item of the images. To finish my card, I foam mounted the panel on a white slimline card base (8 1/2 by 3 1/2). I absolutely love this card and how it turned out!

I hope you like my project today, thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day !
