Same card, Two Ways!

Do you ever get stuck thinking a stamp set is just for a specific season? Christmas stamps just for Christmas, a birthday set just for birthday cards?  

 

Here's a quick idea that I know you'll love!  Follow along as I give you 2 ideas for making the same cards but for different occasions.

 

 

In the first cards, I used the presents from the Beary Christmas set to make both a holiday card AND a birthday card!  It's just a matter of coloring the presents to reflect the occasion. The simple white embossed backgrounds add texture without distracting from the images.  (Merry Christmas sentiment from Just Sentiments Christmas and Happy Birthday from Monster Party)

 

 

In the 2nd set of cards, I took the fruit cake cupcake from the Jolly Cupcakes set and colored it as a traditional fruit cake AND a fun pink cupcake.  Patterned paper sets the tone this time.  Again, the sentiments change but the layout is pretty much the same.  I love when cards come together with minimal thinking!
