a little treat FOR SOMEONE SWEET

Hello, crafty friends!

It is Natalia here, and I am SO excited to share this card with you today as this is my very first card as a design team member for Pawsome! I am so honoured to be in the team among so many talented crafters, using a brand I love!

For my first card, I decided to use the Sweet Cupcakes stamp set and coordinating dies. I love that it's got so many images, and great sentiments!

For my background, I wanted to do something different, so I went for using strips from coloured cardstock. As I wanted to make a Valentine's card, I chose reds and pinks. The cardstock I chose is pearlescent, and I must admit, I LOVE it! so shinny and pretty. I used a die set from Waffle Flower to get half the oval and the scallop shapes.

The base is an A2 panel I made from some beige cardstock from Concord & 9th - gorgeous!

Then, I stamped the images onto white cardstock and coloured them with my ohuhu markers. I usually struggle to choose colours when I am colouring, but having done the background helped me stay focus on pinks, reds and creams.

I added glossy accents to some details in the cupcakes, like the cherries and hearts. I love the dimension this gives!

I am a big fan of white on black sentiments (you will see over time), but this time I refrained and I used gold WOW! embossing powder directly onto the card panel. I am glad I did, I think it works really well!

And one more thing about me: I struggle to finish a card without embellishments, so I was so happy when I saw the gorgeous sequins from Pawsome! In this card I used cotton candy. And this completes my card!

I will post a reel showing you the process tomorrow on our IG accounts so be sure to follow us if you don't want to miss it!

I hope you like it, if you have any comments, I'd love to read them.

Sending hugs,
Natalia
