Caught in a Web!
Hi there!
Jean here with you today and I am so excited to share this adorable Halloween card I created using the Tangled Web stencil and the Hauntingly Sweet stamps and dies from the new release!
To make this card, I started out with the background. I ink blended a piece of card stock with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks – keeping the center lighter and getting darker as I moved around the outside edge.
I then placed the Tangled Web stencil over the top of the cardstock and applied black glitter gel to the entire card front. I removed the stencil, set the panel aside to dry, and quickly cleaned up so that the glitter gel wouldn’t harden on my tools or work surface.
While the panel dried, I stamped the little bat-costumed candy corn from the Hauntingly Sweet stamp set in Copic-friendly ink and colored him in with Copic markers. I cut him out with the coordinating dies.
I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the set with black detail embossing powder and cut it out with the coordinating dies.
Once the background panel was dry, I trimmed it down and popped it up on my card front with foam adhesive. Oh my! That glittery spider web turned out amazing!
I used more foam adhesive to pop up the bat-costumed candy corn and sentiment.
