Sneak Peek Day 4 - Happy Haunting

Hi Crafty Friends! Emily Mydlowski here with you today sharing a Spooky Cute Sneak Peek Project using the Fa-BOO-lous Happy Haunting Stamp Set. The new release will be live on August 17th at 10am EST.

Halloween is my one of my favorite cardmaking holidays and I love it when you can mix a little Cute with Spooky and the Happy Haunting Stamp Set has everything you need to create SO many Spooktacularly Cute Cards!

To get started with my card, I prepped the Haunted House Image for water coloring. I stamped the Haunted House with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink to Bristol Smooth Cardstock and heat embossed the outline images with clear embossing powder. I watercolored the Haunted House using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush. I like to directly apply the color from the markers to the edges of the design and then use water to color the image. Once the water coloring was die, I used the coordinating dies to cut the image and added dimension to the coloring with a white gel pen.

Zig Colors:

  • Haunted House: 095-Dark Grey, 010-Black, 096-Mid Gray, 065-Mid Brown, 099-Cool Grey
  • Haunted House Accents: 078-Peacock Blue, 035-Deep Blue, 084 Deep Violet, 812-Deep Red Grape

For the base of the card, I’m sneaking a peek of the Tangled Web Stencil that I ink blended with a light gray ink to black card stock and trimmed down to fit an A2 White Cardstock Panel. Using liquid adhesive I attached the Haunted House to the Tangled Web Base.

To add all the Cute to the Spooky, I stamped the adorable ghosts, a couple bats and the BOO sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I add a Rosy Cheeks to the ghosts with R20/000 Copic Markers. Using liquid adhesive and thin foam squares I attached the ghosts, BOO and bats.

To finish the card, I adhered the decorated panel to a dark purple card base. So there we are friends a Spooky Cute Clean and Simple Halloween Card using the Happy Haunting Stamp Set & Tangled Web Stencil. Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
