Hello Fall Stenciled Background

Hi crafty friends, it’s Donna, and it's my turn on the blog today. I’m focusing on creating quick and easy fall cards. Today’s card features Falling Leaves Spotlight Stencil and the large sentiment from the FallSign stamp set.

To start the card, I die-cut a panel of brown cardstock with a 5 x 7 die, then the window with a smaller rectangle die. Next, I used the Falling Leaves Spotlight Stencil with several colors of texture paste.

I did shift the stencil to cover the entire height of the panel with the texture paste.

While the texture paste was drying, I quickly created the background by ink smooshing a piece of watercolor cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink. I also added some splatters with blue paint and gold paint.  

I finished the card by adhering the window frame over the ink-smooshed panel with foam adhesive, then onto a card base.
