You’re Eggceptional Stamped Background Easter Card

Hi Crafty Friends! Emily Mydlowski here with you today sharing an Eggstra-cute Easter card using the Eggceptional 4x6 Stamp Set. I don’t know about you but after this long snowy winter, I’m ready for all things in bloom, bunny ears and pretty pastels!

One of my favorite card design techniques, is creating patterned backgrounds from several stamped images. I thought it would be super cute to have the eggs with the bunny ears peek out through the sides of the cards so I made sure I stamped at the bunny eggs first in a triangle patten on a white card pane. Then I stamped the remaining egg designs around the bunny ears. When creating stamped backgrounds, I always make sure I stamp my images off the panel to help keep the design balanced across the panel.

I colored the eggs with light pink, light blue and light blue green Copic Markers and white gel pen accents. I filled in the negative white space between the eggs with sequins from the Spring Bling Sequin Mix and dots of glitter Stickles.

I stamped the the punny “You are Eggceptional” in VesaFine Clair Nocturne Ink to a framed rectangle die cut and adhered it to the top of stamped panel. To finish the card, I added the background panel to a double-stacked white on white frame and pink card base.

So there we are friends, a punny and cute Easter card using the the Eggceptional Stamp Set. Wishing you an Egg-cellent Spring! Thanks for stopping by and Big Paper Hugs!
