Sneak Peek Day 1: Santa Express

Hey everyone, Britney here! Welcome to Day 1 of sneak peeks for the upcoming release! Today I will be introducing the Santa Express stamp set! I think this will be such a fun card to give my son this year for Christmas!

I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I used my some basic background dies to cut out three layers of cardstock. The top panel was plain white cardstock. I inked on come clouds and a snowy scene. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the set on a scrap piece of the same blue cardstock I used at the base panel.

Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I stamped the inside of the card with images from the Santa Express set. I white heat embossed a sentiment on another scrap piece of the same blue cardstock I used at the base panel.

I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of smooth, white cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies. I finished off my images using white pen to add some accents. I

I love adding a lot of final details to a card to give it a little something extra. I added some yellow Nuvo drops on the lights or balls on the train, glossy accents on the lights and Santa’s glasses, and some glitter glaze on the smoke and snowy background. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks!
