Celebrating Playful Pandas

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring a couple of different sets today in this super fun birthday card. I love how this card came together!!! Scene cards are my favorite to put together.
I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I had a basic panel cut out of white cardstock and a separate scrap piece I used for the ground. I inked on several colors to create this pretty sunset. I sprayed shimmer spray on the larger panel and flicked on black and white paint on the ground piece. I cut a larger panel and inked on purple to match the top panel.
I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of smooth, white cardstock. The images I used are from the Playful PandasGood Luck Lanterns, and Sweet Cupcakes stamp sets. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. You can fussy cut the images or use the coordinating dies.
Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I used a sentiment from the Sweet Cupcakes and Macarons stamp set.
I laid out my images for the front of my card to get perfect placement and popped some of them up using foam tape. I finished off my images using white pen to add some accents and black glaze pen to the eyes and noses. I love adding a lot of final details to a card to give it a little something extra. I do this last so I don’t smudge anything! I hope you enjoyed today's card. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
