Monster Birthday Party

Hey everyone, Britney here! I am excited to be on the Pawsome Stamps blog today featuring the Monster Party stamp set.
I always like to start with my background first and I build up from there. I cut three panels for a standard A2 card (blue base, green frame, and white for the top). I did a lot of masking and stamping of those cute little monsters. I used a very light grey to stamp my sentiment so I knew where to put the monsters. I used a sentiment from the XL Birthday Greetings stamp set and used a coordinating die to cut it out. Once I had them all stamped and masked, I blended on some ink matching the base color. I sprayed shimmer spray to give the background more interest.
I used the Misti Stamping Tool and a Copic-friendly ink to stamp images onto a piece of smooth, white cardstock. Use your favorite color medium to color in the images. I prefer Copics usually. I used a matching color to cover any edges my mask might have covered.
Stamping an image and sentiment on the inside finishes the card off nicely. It is easier to stamp an image and/or sentiment on the inside of the card before adhering the card panel to the base. The bulk of the foam tape can make it difficult to get a good impression using a Misti Stamping tool. I used a sentiment from the Monster Party and XL Birthday Greetings stamp sets.
I popped up the sentiment using foam tape. I finished off my images using white pen to add some accents and black glaze pen to the eyes. I also added Glossy Accents to the eyes to make them look more realistic. I love adding a lot of final details to a card to give it a little something extra. I do this last so I don’t smudge anything! I hope you enjoyed today's card. Have a wonderful day and make sure to check out all the goodies in the Pawsome Stamps shop
