Welcome to the neighbourhood card.
Hello all! I'm back with another card, this time it is a Welcome to the Neighborhood card made with the Gnomie stamp set and watercolors.
I started with stamping and coloring all of the images from the stamp set. I like to color more than I actually need in case my idea isn't working or I change my mind and want to add more to my original card design. You can also save them for another card or make a matching tag!
After coloring I used my scissors to cut everything out and added white highlights with a white gel pen.
Next was the background. I masked off the bottom portion of the card front and used distress oxide inks in different shades of pink. I also added water and gold metallic splatters.
I adhered some of the images using foam squares and some with clear glue, I wanted to add some depth to an otherwise flat scene. For the sentiment, I chose two greetings from the same stamp set and paired them together in the right bottom part of my card front.
Lastly, I added a few sequins from the Hello Sunshine sequin mix and added the card panel onto a slightly larger card base with foam tape.
That's it!
Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
Anna
